Islamabad High Court Approves Transfer of Imran-Bushra Iddat Nikkah Case#1

Islamabad High Court approves transfer of Imran-Bushra iddat nikkah case

Transfer Approval

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has granted permission to transfer the Imran-Bushra Iddat Nikkah case to the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka. This decision follows a request made by District and Sessions Judge Shahrukh Arjumand to the Chief Justice of the IHC.

New Judge Assignment

The case will now be presided over by Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka. He will oversee the proceedings related to the alleged illegal marriage during the Iddat period of Bushra bibi.

Background

Former husband of Bushra bibi, Khawar Manika, raised objections against Judge Shahrukh Arjumand. Additionally, during the previous hearing, lawyers representing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) reportedly confronted Khawar Manika. Subsequently, an FIR was filed against the lawyer, and some of the accused obtained bail in the case.

Denial of Charges

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan and Bushra bibi have refuted all allegations against them in the Iddat Nikkah case. They maintain their innocence regarding the accusations.
