Security Measures
The national capital, New Delhi, will be on high alert as leaders from the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) arrive for the event. According to Delhi Police, tight security will be in place around major hotels such as Leela, Taj, ITC Maurya, Claridge’s, and Oberoi, where the dignitaries will be staying. Safe routes have been arranged for their travel between their hotels and the venue.
“Dignitaries attending the swearing-in will be given designated routes from their hotels to the venue and back,” officials stated.
Banquet and Discussions
In addition to the swearing-in ceremony, a banquet will be hosted by President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on the same evening. This event will provide an opportunity for high-level interactions and discussions, helping to strengthen regional relationships among SAARC member countries.
